The events of the last year have made it clear that educational landscapes can shift at any time. Teachers have been asked to teach in person, online, and various combinations of the two. It was an exhausting and often frustrating experience. Moving forward, teachers need to cultivate a mindset, skillset, and toolset nimble enough to navigate any teaching and learning landscape.
This course guides teachers through the process of designing and facilitating dynamic, student-centered blended and online learning experiences. Teachers will learn how to design standards-aligned units, create effective video content, engage learners in online discussions, and build a dynamic learning community. The strategies presented in this course are grounded in blended and online learning theory.
This course will provide teachers and schools with the instructional models, technology tools, and engagement strategies they need to be effective teaching in blended and online learning environments.
