An Online Certificate Program for Blended Learning Coaches


This course will provide coaches with a clear path, or coaching cycle, they can use to support teachers and maximize the impact of coaching. In addition, this course will help coaches develop a higher-level understanding of blended learning, so they feel more confident coaching teachers in designing and facilitating learning to combine active, engaged learning online and offline.

The pandemic pushed teachers out of their comfort zones. Despite the challenges, there was significant growth. Coaches are critical to maintaining that momentum so teachers do not abandon strategies, models, or technology tools in favor of what is comfortable or familiar. This course provides coaches with a coaching cycle and resources they can use to support teachers in developing their mindsets, skill sets, and tool sets to design and facilitate lessons using blended learning models.

About Your Instructor


Dr. Catlin Tucker is a bestselling author, international trainer, and keynote speaker. She was named Teacher of the Year in 2010 in Sonoma County, where she taught for 16 years. Catlin earned her doctorate in learning technologies from Pepperdine University.

Currently, Catlin is working as a blended learning coach, education consultant, and professor in the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Pepperdine University. Catlin has written a series of bestselling books on blended learning, including UDL and Blended Learning, Balance With Blended Learning, Blended Learning In Action, and Power Up Blended Learning. She is active on Twitter @Catlin_Tucker and writes an internationally ranked blog at CatlinTucker.com.

Self-Paced Course

The course has both coaching and blended learning resources that coaches can copy and use to maximize their time and effectiveness. Each module includes: Video instruction with transcript, Guided notes, Reflect and discuss questions, Action items aimed at helping coaches apply what they are learning, and Paired readings from Power Up Blended Learning.

Live Synchronous Sessions

Cohorts are limited to 100 participants for each two-month training cycle. They will receive an invitation to attend 2 synchronous 60-minute sessions (week 3 and 6) in addition to accessing the self-paced online course materials.

Certificate

Each individual who completes the online course and scheduled work during the Cohort will receive a Blended Learning Coaching Certificate from Dr. Catlin Tucker.
